Daisaku Ikeda, President of Soka Gakkai International (SGI), founder of the Soka schools and universities, and namesake of the DePaul University Institute for Daisaku Ikeda Studies in Education, passed away from natural causes at his residence in Shinjuku, Tokyo, on the evening of Nov. 15. He was 95 and is survived by his wife, Kaneko, and his sons, Hiromasa and Takahiro.
